Muggle-born
History:
A baby boy was born on the eleventh hour of April twenty seventh to two muggles, Robert Lynch [one of the happiest fathers at that moment] and Katherine Adams Lynch [who just wanted to get the baby out of her at that moment]. They knew nothing of the wizarding world, only knowing what they heard in childly fairy tales. Who would've thought it actually existed. So, how exactly, did Michael Lynch receive any kind of inherited magical gene? Traced back, his grandfather apparently was a wizard, one who never told anyone, not even his life partner, that he was. Anywhoo, his parents named him Michael after that certain grandfather. Ironic right? But the nickname 'Mikey' stuck more in the end.
Mikey grew up with a normal childhood, except for the fact that he never really fit in at the private schools his parents sent him to. Whenever it came to recess, Mikey played alone in the sandbox, caring less about what the other children were doing. His mother worried, and decided homeschooling would be the best way for Mikey to avoid bullying or any other school related problems. That was how his mother was, always worrying and stressing over the littlest of things, no matter how much people tried to tell her it was okay. Mikey was her only son, the one person she never wanted to lose, but who knew it might end up the other way around.
When Mikey was about eight years old, Katherine became very ill, and sentenced to rot in her bedroom for most of the days she spent. She had a rare form of cancer, one that made her unable to walk across a room. She had once been so graceful and spontanious, and seeing her so quickly change really hit Mikey hard. Her once vibrant face, was pale and sickly, and her eyes once so full of life, seemed lifeless. Every day after his daily lessons with his nanny, Mikey would rush in his mother's room and tell her everything he had learned excitedly. He seemed to be the only person that hadn't given up on her, which made her death play the toughest role on him.
Three years later, Mikey's personality began to come through in his outfits and behavior. From the young age of eleven he began to get hooked on the wrong type of things, usually alcohol but often smoking as well. It was the usual peer pressure bit, and just altogether hanging out with the wrong people. His father dissapproved of him, making the letter of acceptance to Hogwarts that much more troubling. At first, Robert thought it just a stupid chain letter or a joke, until they kept coming. He was scared, as was Mikey, not knowing what to do.
After everything else failed, Robert agreed to let Mikey go to the witchcraft school, thinking it was a huge mistake. Mikey's first year there was a difficult one to say the least. He had no friends, and being a muggle born made it hard to fit in. The next year, was a sort of relief, when people began to talk to him, and he broke out of his shell. So far, he's made it through six years just fine, even though his father still doesn't approve completely, he has come to accept the fact that his son, Mikey Lynch, is a wizard.
Appearance:
Mikey has the appearance of most emo guys in the world. He's skinny, wears tight jeans, skin tight band t-shirts, black hair in a side sweep over at least one of his eyes and a studded belt to send a warning to innocent bystanders. His converse look like they've been chewed by a dog and have writing all over them in black sharpie. Other than that he looks just like any other normal person on the street. As if. His eyes are dark, and usually covered with eyeliner [Heavy] and some black eyeshadow. He likes people not being able to see his eyes, that way they can't know what he's really thinking, since eyes give away so much. His skin is a pale color, but not ghost-like. His left ear is pierced [Yes, he does have ears], along with two piercings along each side of his bottom lip. Hey, at least his tongue isn't.
His hair is naturally a light brown color, but that wouldn't work for the Lynch boy, and once he was old enough to walk into a store by himself, he began to buy black hair dye. He thinks black suits him better, and makes him stick out a little more than the average person. His hair is long, no doubt, and he keeps it parted to one said, which is another reason he is stereotyped as an emo. If you get a chance to look at his fingernails, you'll see that they're covered in black polish that is chipping off, but sometimes he'll get bored and color them in with a black sharpie.
Mikey has a tattoo all along his arms. He likes to have them as a sort of memorial, and only he knows what most of them mean. It's like having a story plastered on your body so you won't ever forget it. A sort of permanent post it note, if you will. Most people would classify Mikey Lynch as an 'emo' or 'skater', but even though that's what they like to think, Mikey has never touched a skateboard in his life. Either way, Mikey doesn't believe in labels and just dresses and acts the way he wants, which makes him fall under the emo category in a sense. He does have other styles of dress, which include baggy clothing, but the tight fitting attire is his more comfortable fit.
Mikey isn't fat, but he also isn't a twig. When he was born, he was already a chubby baby, weighing almost eight pounds, and some of that little kid fat just stuck with him throughout his life. Tragic. He likes to work out, which is usually done through playing quidditch or running around on his free time. He's pretty built, which is clearly seen through his tight fitting clothes. No, he isn't body builder strong, but if you ever need something moved, just call Mikey Lynch.

Personality:
Might as well start off with the one personality side that shines through the most; and that's how extremely odd Mikey is. He's one of those people you can walk up to on the street and start screaming random phrases at, because he'll do the same back to you. He loves being odd, and thrives on his success of it. When the room is quiet, he'll burst out in random song lyrics just to liven it up. Those are only a few examples of some of the crazy things he does. Some people find that he is too strange, and do their best to avoid him, while others enjoy the fact that he's so lovable and outgoing. It just depends on who you are.
On the flip side, Mikey can also be very shy and quiet when it comes to someone he finds intimidating. He hates feeling inferior or powerless against someone, and doesn't want to make a horrible impression on them. Even though he make look like throwing a few punches or shouting out curses comes easy to him, he very rarely does it. He likes being alone, and apart from the very few people he actually keeps in touch with, he generally sticks to himself, knowing he won't have to impress anyone that way. He just doesn't like making his presence known.
Mikey, though he tries his best to control it, has a bit of a temper on him. Like I said, he doesn't like to be rude or 'threatening', but if the moment calls for it, he'll do it. The things he stands up for include his friends [again, the very few ones he has] and things he believes strongly for. People can mock him all they want, but in all actuality, Mikey has some odd beliefs and moral values. He doesn't fall for media temptation or things he reads in the local newspaper, he sees what he wants, and believes what he wants, and more than half the time, there's someone who disagrees and Mikey would rather argue with them than hear about how much they disagree with him.
This is where his stubborn side kicks in. He doesn't like to listen to others' side of the story. He's the kind of person who will come back with a strong 'I'll believe that when I see it.' He won't go for something without proof laid out in front of him, which can make others easily annoyed with him. He pays close attention to detail, and whether others like it or not, that's just how he is. He very rarely changes his mind about a topic, especially one he's totally confident about. You can throw all the reasons and excuses at him that you want, but that doesn't mean Mikey will listen.
When it comes to relationships, let's just say Mikey isn't exactly a pro. He never knows the right things to say, which results in his relationships only lasting a few days at most. He's not what you would call a true romantic, since it's difficult for him to know exactly what girls want. Guess you could say he's given up for the most part, and if someone comes around, he'll try it out.[/size][/ul]
Sample Roleplay:
One of Mikey's favorite things to do was watch people. He wasn't a stalker or anything like that, but he thought it was pretty funny what other people did when they thought no one was watching. Take the blonde haired boy by the lake for instance. He had looked in all different directions, making sure no one was looking his way, before he started singing Broadway tunes and jumped into the water making a giant splash. That wasn't too embarrassing for someone like Mikey, who would occasionally walk around the academy singing to himself, or talking to himself. He wasn't crazy or anything, even though some people thought he was, he just liked to make himself heard, most of the time anyway. But there were those very rare times that Mikey was silent and shy, usually when something bad had happened to him or someone he was close to. People who really knew Mikey Lynch though, always knew that something was bothering him when he was quiet, because it just never happened.
Mikey snapped out of his daydreaming when a female voice came from behind him. He had been so caught up in watching the blonde boy, who's head was now underwater, that he hadn't heard her faint footsteps come in. He liked watching, but when it came to listening, Mikey wasn't too good at it. He always got distracted but had gotten pretty good at making it look like he was listening. You know, nodding his head, and when the other person laughed, he would fake a laugh. It always seemed to work, but then again, most people knew not to come to Mikey when they had a so called interesting story to tell.
Mikey turned himself around on the wooden bench so that he was looking straight at Emilie Austen. God, he was just sitting in the most uncomfortable chairs today. He tried his best to give a friendly smile, but it looked more like an evil smirk that went terribly wrong, if that made any sense at all. His appearance usually made it hard for his smiles and grins to actually look happy, which might be why people thought he was oh so emo. They didn't know anything about him, but getting to know people nowadays was much harder than it used to be. Damn Mikey sounded old. "Hey Em." Mikey responded. He liked shortening people's names, much like his own.
Mikey and Emilie were alright friends. Mikey had better, but he liked the fact that Emilie hung out with different kinds of people. The first time she had said hello to him, Mikey had been pretty surprised. It wasn't everyday that a petite red headed girl came up and started a conversation with someone such as Mikey. That's what sucked about labels and stereotyping people, most of the time the things you thought were far fromt he truth.
